Delray Beach Golf Club is a Classic Donald Ross design. With a variety of long and short par fours you will use all of your clubs in the bag.
Here are a few ideas to help you conquer this Ross masterpiece:
Hole # 1
A medium length opening par 5 that requires a tee shot to avoid water on both the left and right side of the fairway. Longer hitters may attempt to go for the green in two, but beware of the two greenside bunkers.
Hole # 2
A long par four with water down the left side. Keep it right.
Hole # 4
A long par 4 with bunkers on the left side of the fairway. You want to challenge these bunkers to get the best angle into the green.
Hole # 9
A dogleg left par 5 that can be hit in two “IF” you can take it over the tall tree down the left side “BUT” beware of the OB down the left side!
Holes # 13
This long par 3 is one of the best! Take more clubs!
Hole # 16
A long par 4 that requires a fade off of the fairway bunkers and long iron shot into a green protected by bunkers left and right.
Hole # 17
The short par 3. Don’t leave it short or the water or large bunker fronting the green will leave you wondering how you did not make par!
